Members make a difference
|
Regatta Place Co-operative Housing was established in 1977 by a group of dedicated community members. Their goal was to start a co-operative housing community to provide affordable housing to members. Membership in Regatta Place Co-operative Home means making a difference by volunteering to help keep our community clean, safe, and well maintained. By doing so we all benefit and help to keep our housing charges affordable.
Cooperative Housing Communities Cooperatives are owned and managed by the members who live in the units, and governed through an elected Board of Directors, in accordance with applicable legislation and their own by-laws. Cooperatives have their own by-laws and restrictions regarding pets, and the rules will vary among individual cooperatives. The key difference between a co-op and other non-profit housing is that members are required to volunteer their time to help with the running of their co-op |
